Creating your best life is a daily practice. Events in your life, relationships, your thoughts and emotions play a part in pushing or pulling you in or out of balance. So, it is important to regularly implement practices that will keep you grounded and will assist you to come back to your natural place of balance, harmony, and calm.

One tool that I recommend for creating your best life is the Feng Shui Vision Board. You may be familiar with the concept of Affirmations – positive statements that you say aloud or write down. Many people purchase affirmations in the form of small artworks that are hung in places where they can be viewed often. The Vision Board is akin to a visual affirmation, and the Feng Shui Vision Board incorporates ancient Feng Shui concepts for manifesting your life’s desires.

And, Dear Reader, I am stepping in to your inbox today to let you know that my signature workshop, Feng Shui Vision Board: Manifesting Your Best Life, is now available as an online class. This is a workshop that is relevant year-round! Gather a group of your friends, assemble the materials, prepare some healthy snacks and spend an afternoon with me (virtually) to learn about Feng Shui, and then apply these concepts to your vision board. The Feng Shui Vision Board is a powerful tool for manifesting all you want in your life!

And, here’s another suggestion, for creating your best life and for shifting your energy and mindset.

Shake it up! Stepping out of your normal routine

From time to time, we all find ourselves falling in to a rut, do you agree? Life hums along, we do the same things day in, day out, and our outlook on life may feel blah and ho hum. One of the ways I like to shake things up is to get the heck out of Dodge!

Travel is broadening
Recently I participated in a Soul Yoga retreat with Camden Hoch – Yogini and Life Coach – that took me to Marrakech, Morocco. You might imagine that taking yourself completely out of your regular surroundings (think, exotic foods, unfamiliar sounds, experiences, textures, colors, architecture, even animals – camels, cobras, peacocks!) will certainly inspire creativity, revive your passion for love and life, and open up your eyes to see things in a different perspective. However, you need not go as far away as the continent of Africa for renewal. There are many ways, closer to home, that you can make small changes in your normal routine and thus shift the energy in your environment and in your self. Here are a few:

Take a drive out of your city and explore unknown areas, preferably in nature.

Switch it up when it comes to the coffee shop you frequent – find a new one in a different part of town, and while you are at it, order a beverage that is different from your norm!

Try using your opposite hand when brushing your teeth, or eating with your fork, or both!

On the drive to work, perhaps you listen to a new genre of music, or check out a podcast you haven’t followed before.

As far as your appearance goes, try wearing new/different/brighter colors (are you stuck in a uniform of all black?), a bow tie instead of a necktie, anything that is vastly out of the usual. Pay attention to the reactions you receive – maybe this subtle (or not so subtle) style change looks really good on you!

You can never go wrong, when wanting to make energy shifts, by spending time in nature. Whether it’s a hike in a forest, a walk along the water, or even just sitting outside on your front steps and breathing in the air and soaking up the sunshine, Mother Nature always provides renewal and replenishment.

“Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn’t do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.” – Mark Twain

I would love to hear how you make changes, big or small, to shift your energy and raise your vibration. I invite you to write a comment or send me an email and let me know!

Sending love and light,
